In the classroom, he demonstrated his ability to be a leader, with whom the students admired and respected. His quiet, yet powerful presence lent itself to student success, both academically and behaviorally. One of Mr. Marshall's strong attributes is the ability to make personal connections. He goes out of his way to engage in conversations to make connections with his co-workers and the students.

I have worked closely with Mr. Marshall for the past two years as we were part of the inaugural team to open Potomac Shores Middle School (PSMS) in the Fall of 2021. I worked hand in hand with him as he was the founder and leader of our mentorship program called "Future Leaders." When you meet Mr. Marshall for the first time, you immediately see the passion he has for mentoring, Mental Health, and teaching the youth life skills to help them become productive citizens. Mr. Marshall is a compassionate educator who believes in the importance of collaboration. His teamwork approach, and hardworking attitude has helped bring various initiatives to fruition at PSMS. Mr. Marshall is patient, kind hearted, fair and has a jovial spirit that has helped him to develop rapport and strong relationships with the students he teaches and mentors. He goes above and beyond and is an asset to our school.

Mr. Marshall has a love and a passion for helping people to become their best. I see his hard work and dedication to the students at my middle school on a daily basis. He helps prepare our students by learning how to: create goals, plan for the goals, evaluating the progress of the goals, and attaining the goals. Mr. Marshall draws on his past to help make connections with the students. His honesty with his short-comings or failures create a genuine connection and builds trust. He helps the students see their potential, not just for the present, but well into their future. If you looking for someone who cares, someone to tell you what you NEED to hear, then Mr. Marshall (Coach) is the man and mentor for you.

While at Potomac Shores, Mr. Marshall has been a mentor and coach to many of the students by helping them improve their behaviors and attitudes in difficult times.
